Vector Work
From a file that won't cooperate to a vector your machine can actually cut.
Any file in, clean file out
Send it a PDF logo, an Illustrator file from a client, or an old DXF that opens as a mess. Vector Work reads SVG, DXF, PDF and AI and gives you clean SVG or DXF your laser or CNC software will take. Loose ends get joined, and it tells you how many it fixed.
Pick the right page
Multi-page PDFs and Illustrator files show every page as a thumbnail. Click the one you want and leave the rest.
True size, side by side
The original and the converted result sit next to each other at real size, in inches or millimeters. You check the result before it goes anywhere near your machine.
Mill-Pad: tuned to your real bit
Pick the bit you'll actually cut with: an end mill, a V-bit, or a tapered ball nose. Mill-Pad only reshapes the curves that bit can't follow and leaves everything else alone. End mills are solved to the bit's radius, and V-bits and tapered ball noses to the tip, with the smallest line width worked out from the angle and depth.
See the gain and the loss
Your original sketch stays on screen as a ghost, and the solved curve sits on top. Mill-Pad updates live and shows where it added material and where it took some away, so nothing changes without you seeing it.
Set the real size first
Scale the design to the size you'll cut before solving. A curve that's fine on a 24-inch sign can be impossible on a 2-inch coaster, and Mill-Pad solves for the size you're actually making.
Your hand on every node
Don't like how it rounded a corner? Grab the node and move it yourself. The solver does the heavy lifting, and you still have the final say.
Straight into the next job
Save the bit-ready vector to your project, named for the bit it was solved for, or send a closed design straight to Puzzle Studio to make it a puzzle.
