Inlay Studio
V-carve inlays that fit the first time, even on a curve.
Draw right on the surface
Draw lines, rectangles, circles and splines directly on the 3D surface, or drop in an SVG and place and scale it. Your design follows the surface of the part, curve and all.
Curved and wavy surfaces
Most inlay tools assume a flat board. Inlay Studio works on curved and wavy work, including flags straight from Flag Studio, so the inlay follows the wood instead of fighting it.
Pocket and plug, built together
Pick a 15°, 30° or 60° V-bit and see the draft it gives you. Set the depth, glue gap and plug base, and Inlay Studio builds the pocket and the matching plug together, so they're made to fit each other.
Checks before you cut
Every layer gets a clear pass or fail before you cut. Each new layer is checked against the edges it shares with every layer below it, so it fits the whole stack and not just the layer under it.
Every layer at full depth
Stack layer inside layer for real multi-color inlays. Each layer cuts to full pocket depth, with its pocket going through the plug of the layer before it, so the top colors are as solid as the base.
See it assembled
Switch between the pocket, the assembly, or both together and look at the finished inlay from any angle before you touch a board.
